Luckily we have many waking hours in a month to do both.
- Buttons840 3y agoIf you do both, then you are spending at least some of your time sub-optimally. Education, applying to jobs, entrepreneurial ventures, etc, all of these have higher expected value than cancelling subscriptions.
- dontupvoteme 3y agopeople aren't thought experiments in ancap-economics textbooks. irrational behaviour is core to not only people but pretty much every lifeform on the planet.
- bluetomcat 3y agoNot cancelling subscriptions has a high correlation with irresponsible spending habits. The same person will likely amass a large amount of stuff that stays unused. Instead of repairing, they will buy new. When they buy new, they don’t consider the longevity and durability of the item.
- nightski 3y agoI guarantee you there are very few on the planet whose time management is so strict that spending 30 minutes a month to review their finances would cut into any of those activities.
- susjznzoaoa 3y agosome people work nearly every waking hour (I have more the a few hundred weeks in my life for sure) other huge logistical challenge that comes out of this is the hours for the call center need to overlap when you’re not working so you can call someone to cancel.
- Unbefleckt 3y agoI cancelled my amazon prime while taking a shit. Do these workaholics not shit? Where do they find the time to subscribe to services in the first place?
