It's amusing to think about something like a several thousand (probably more like billions?) transistor graphene based chip outdoing a trillions transistor behemoth. I don't know if that's possible in reality though, since things like cache space are important regardless of your clock speed and there's no point in being able to do fast logic if you can't pipe in enough data.
