- throwitaway222 3y agopeople have been gaming hardcore since 2000 - not sure it's that.
- hindsightbias 3y agoI did not know heart disease was instantaneous.
- EA-3167 3y ago> Dr. Iyer says they believe the increase in heart attacks during COVID-19 was because of increased clotting caused by the virus. > As for the vaccine: > “I think this myth that the COVID vaccine is somehow related to increased heart attacks certainly is not borne out by the data,” said Iyer. “What we have seen with the COVID vaccine is a slight increase in myocarditis, or an increase in inflammation of the heart. Whether that has any substantive impact on sudden cardiac death has yet to be proven, but there is certainly no evidence at this point that the COVID vaccine has led to increased heart attacks per say.” The key point given the raging misinformation around this. I know a lot of "get over it, long covid is a myth" types are online, and I can understand the psychological pressure that turns people into that. Sadly it's been clear for a while now that Covid is far more than a respiratory illness, it has wide-ranging impacts that may not be obvious at first.
- cryptozeus 3y agoThis just doesn’t sound good, who is to say what is “slight” and how risky it it “ COVID vaccine is a slight increase in myocarditis, or an increase in inflammation of the heart”
