It's definitely faster, but it's a steep learning curve. For a slightly easier learning curve, I suggest ASETNIOP - https://asetniop.com/ https://asetniop.com/. The are/were keyboards built with a single row (maybe + thumb keys) that speak ASETNIOP, but I can't seem to find any at the moment.
