this is honestly great news. you get upi on your phone via an app or sms or ussd, whatever works for you. your UPI id is linked to your bank so your name and name of the other person always shows. before sending money, the "real" name of a UPI id is shown so you can't miss it (sure typo thing and all but that is separate) and the transactions are atomic so if its done, then its done. no recalls. i understand credit cards and disputes are integral in the western system but i don't think that needs to be that way... the cost of that (2-4% of the transaction) value is way too much for others.
