They really are attempting to dilute the term "open source" until it loses all meaning. You can already see it with nearly every LLM license that claims to be open source but is nothing close to how that term is commonly understood. While it's true that Facebook creates some valuable "true" open source projects (like React), I anticipate seeing a lot more complicated (and restrictive) open source licensing from them and other big tech for upcoming projects.
