Amazon plans to charge for Alexa in June–unless internal conflict delays revamp
- cookingmyserver 3y agoSomewhat misleading headline. They plan to release a paid version of Alexa AKA Alexa Plus using generative AI, but testing didn't go well and they are trying to rebuild it using LLM tech from the bottom up.

- nunez 3y agoIt's kind of crap that Alexa is asking for money for functionality it should have provided from day one (being able to interpret requests with >90% accuracy)
- nothercastle 3y agoI think that’s how they kill prime video and Alexa. Ask people to pay when nobody does kill it
