yeah run away greenhouse heating is just not going to happen by 'what we are doing'. Really not much to say on it then what he said in the video other than anyone saying so is just not backed by science and weakens the argument that we do need to come up with long term solutions to global warming / climate change.
- anakaine 3y agoThe runaway greenhouse effect does not need to "turn us in to Venus" to be a problem. The person who wrote their interpretation thay way deserves admonishment. That said, the runaway greenhouse effect can, and absolutely will, negatively affect our ability to crop, graze, and inhabit large areas. It does put at risk our ability to continue to feed, irrigate, and house large portions of population, and it will cause increasing desertification and high prevalence of higher cost natural disasters and severe weather including both hot, cold, dry, and wet. These are all factors which deserve our continued attention and efforts, and they should not be dismissed by some of our conservative pseudo-science brethren so readily.
