If that’s the state of things - taking money for personal interest to oppress the people that are suppose to be represented - perhaps we need an amendment to bar holding public office after attaching a name (authoring or sponsoring) to bills that get struck down as constitutional. I don’t know what the solution is, but there should be some teeth and personal accountability for shenanigans like this.
- pksebben 3y agoYeah but like, how do you change the rules when the people who can make the rules are the ones who made the rules because they like it that way? Kinda feels like asking the king to ditch the crown because "yaknow, it's the right thing to do"
