Recommendations for a FOSS Android Keyboard?
I have some rather specific requirements, and as of yet have been unable to find anything that meets them.
I have been using SwiftKey for forever, but don't quite like trusting Microsoft with all my keyboard inputs.
My requirements, in order of priority:
1. Qwertz Layout, including the ä, ö, and ü keys
2. Active corrections/predictions for at least two input languages at once.
3. Good, or at least usable, predictive text
4. A permanent Numrow on top
I'd be happy for any and all recommendations, even if they don't quite fit all the requirements.

- pwg 3y agoI use Hacker's Keyboard from F-Droid: https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.pocketworkstation.pckeyboard/ https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.pocketworkstation.pckeyb... It meets your #4 requirement, as to the others I don't have those myself so have never investigated if it supports them or not. But as it is open source, and available via F-Droid, and you can have multiple keyboards installed and switch via the shade pull-down anytime (the switch keyboard notification only shows for me while a keyboard is visible), give it a try and see if it works for you.
- plb42 3y agoThank, I'll test it out. The reason why I like to have multiple languages active is that it's quite usual for communications with some of my friends to switch language mid-chat, or mix languages, which can make switching the input language manually a bit cumbersome.
