i'm still using a 2015 imac as my desktop. i bought it primarily for photography. it has a 5k wide-gamut screen, and when i bought it used, an equivalent LG monitor actually cost more. there has just never been a reason to upgrade. the 2022 studio display has the same resolution and color depth.
