As a child, I had to wear a horrible orthodontic device called a bionator that forced me to learn to speak with my jaw closed, navigating my tongue around a formidable hunk of plastic and metal to make myself intelligible at all. (It took two weeks to figure out how to swallow and stop drooling on myself.) Little did I know I was being prepared for the newest cursor control development 30+ years in the future.
