It is likely telemetry to improve the iOS experience. Unfortunately, some group of PMs will misinterpret the aggregated data and make the user experience worse. Doesn’t Apple have an opt out for data analytics?

- delfinom 3y agoApple spends a ton of money on marketing so people don't read their terms of service and privacy policy and realize it's not really any different from other companies.
