seems less like good-faith advice and more like schadenfreude
- MichaelZuo 3y agoMaybe some fraction of folks giving tough love are doing it primarily for the 'schadenfreude' value, but it doesn't seem likely to be all that many. In fact I don't think I've ever seen that happen in real life. It happens on the internet because it's easier for losers to pretend to be virtuous, better, and so on. Which might lead to that perception.
