Perhaps I am unfamiliar with this usage of the word horde, but is it possible that you mean hoard?
- satvikpendem 3y agoYes, sorry, hoard, not horde.
- redcobra762 3y agoOh come on, you knew he used the wrong word… This isn’t any better, you know. Some people would see this as patronizing.
- satvikpendem 3y agoI appreciate the correction, helps me learn something new.
- redcobra762 3y agoYou didn’t know that horde and hoard were different words?
- satvikpendem 3y agoI did, doesn't mean people don't make mistakes or sometimes use words incorrectly.
- redcobra762 3y agoSo what did you learn then?
- satvikpendem 3y agoI learned that I used it incorrectly in that instance. Why are you so insistent on a simple grammatical mistake? I don't understand why you care whether someone learned or didn't learn.
- redcobra762 3y agoI don't care about the grammatical mistake (and you didn't "learn" anything then, no knowledge was gained). What bothers me is the passive-aggressive way the other person pointed it out.
- satvikpendem 3y agoI didn't take it passively aggressively at all, as the OP of this thread. Only you're doing so.
- redcobra762 3y agoIt’s objectively obtuse, there’s simply no way he genuinely thought your mistake was an alternative way to use horde.
