- znpy 3y agocool, but when will that land on laptops i can actually buy?
- akmittal 3y agoMid 2024 is the expected timeline
- znpy 3y agoGreat! I was waiting for the framework 16 but at this point i might wait a bit more and re-evaluate
- pjmlp 3y agoMost likely those running the Android and ChromeOS distributions, and WSL.
- ranguna 3y agoIf it lands on mobile phones, you can flash Linux distros on the phone (you'd lose proprietary drivers for proprietary hardware like cameras and fingerprint sensors, but it's better than nothing).
- wyldfire 3y agoIt's not a mobile phone chip. But yeah the previous generation is on its way upstream, so probably some common content. Maybe those oryon cores will end up in the next generation phone chip?
- akmittal 3y agoQualcomm X elite might be might thing happened to CPUs in last decade or so. Apple's M series chips are so revolutionary but hardwired to Apple's experience hardware and Mac. Qualcomm can finally bring performance to windows and linux with so many different laptop vendors.
