Ask HN: Are Custom GPTs Replacing Plugins?

I've already started a conversation on the Open AI Developer Forum (https://community.openai.com/t/are-custom-gpts-replacing-plugins/590048), but I was wondering if anyone here might have wondered the same. Also, a lot of people who were never getting their invite to develop & publish a plugin haven't really realized they can just do the same plus more with Custom GPTs now.
