This makes me sad. I use SoundCloud to listen to one genre only (progressive trance for when I'm programming) and its gotten so good at recommending me exactly what I like. On top of that DJ sets are top notch.
There are many genres I like to listen to, but the result is a mix of all the things. It's quite rubbish to get a mix of very different genres spanning decades, which happens with Spotify all the time. And YouTube has been abandoned for all but the occasional song for me for similar reasons.
I'm not holding my breath on this sale as so many times the end result is for the worse.
Guess I should see what else is out there.

- lnauta 3y agoHere are some of my favorite sets, the Kai Lie one is the best imo. And the 'taking you higher' series has many more parts (the one here is my favorite) https://soundcloud.com/perplexitymusic/perplexity-music-showcase-023-orsa-a-year-of-perplexity-2016 https://soundcloud.com/perplexitymusic/perplexity-music-show... https://soundcloud.com/user-668153210-253263600/newprogressive-mix-47-billion-stars https://soundcloud.com/user-668153210-253263600/newprogressi... https://soundcloud.com/shane-c/progressive-trance-a https://soundcloud.com/shane-c/progressive-trance-a https://soundcloud.com/pineappledigitalmusic/melodic-progressions-show-309-by-absorb-projects https://soundcloud.com/pineappledigitalmusic/melodic-progres... https://soundcloud.com/weraveyou/sunsetsessions1 https://soundcloud.com/weraveyou/sunsetsessions1 https://soundcloud.com/kai-lie/falling-star-compilation-4 https://soundcloud.com/kai-lie/falling-star-compilation-4 https://soundcloud.com/fluidified/cosmic-energy-pt-2 https://soundcloud.com/fluidified/cosmic-energy-pt-2 https://soundcloud.com/mrsuicidesheep/taking-you-higher-part-4-progressive-house-mix https://soundcloud.com/mrsuicidesheep/taking-you-higher-part...
- herpdyderp 3y agoI never thought to look for music on SoundCloud but that's one of my go-to genres so I decided to give it a shot. Just a quick search and wow I've already found great new-to-me tracks!
