I submit that the existing packaging mosaic covers the requirements (almost) totally. Just need to incentivi$e the proper ninja(s) to merge the functionality into One True package. Whether or not that is a native python, or C-port of all this Rust goodness, or the Rust binary will be a sticky wicket.
