- samus 3y ago// In case it's not clear: I am not suggesting you *actually* do this!
- ayhanfuat 3y agoIt's a joke.
- distcs 3y agoStill it is not clear why a silly joke needs to be on the front page of HN!
- ayhanfuat 3y agoI see something that makes me chuckle, I upvote it. 20 more people do the same and it is on the front page. Nothing mysterious, really.
- distcs 3y agoIt isn't mysterious. It just doesn't match the vibes of HN. I don't come on HN to see silly jokes. And as you can see by the number of flags this post has received to kill it, it looks like most HN readers agree with me.

- ttyprintk 3y agoThen you’re really not going to like my signature move from the 90s: On the main mail server, echo “jive | more” > /usr/bin/less
- pschastain 3y agoSo you're saying that the HN front page should be humorless...
- tehbeard 3y agoHumour that taught me, someone that doesn't touch C, that you can do some interesting / weird things with C... But, you are absolutely right, good sir. This is the internet. And The Internet is Serious Business

- EasyMark 3y agoI'm guessing the flags are from people who get mad at xkcd comics and drink percolator coffee as a preference.
- pschastain 3y agoSome folks just don't like to laugh For the record, I make coffee one large cup at a time via the pour-over method
- okokwhatever 3y agoSimple, it's funny and we should glorify more "potential" fun in this shitty world.
