Are you saying that Pascal dialect had WriteLn but not Write?
- jdougan 3y agoNo, it has write(), but some versions on some OSs needed an eol to flush the buffers. In general the file ops were deliberately underspecified [1], but it was 1973 and the variety of OSs was much weirder than today.
