This seems worthy of an article all on its own. A cop killed someone and then hid the body? And nobody noticed anything until they found 200+ unmarked corpses behind a prison?
And this story is repeated several times, i.e. cops killed a bunch of people and buried them in unmarked graves behind a prison?
> since 2016, in the last eight years, we can identify 215 individuals that were buried behind that jail
Oh, and this all happened in the past 8 years? Since 2016 they have buried hundreds of unmarked bodies behind a jail?
This one is going to be hard for the Jackson Police to say is just indicative of a few bad officers.
- sp332 3y agoA paupers' grave is not automatically nefarious. The story is that the police made no effort to find families.
- Jimmc414 3y agoMaybe it's just me but having 215 unmarked graves seems a little sketchy.
- ahazred8ta 3y agoThey're marked by posts with numbers on them. Numbered grave markers are standard in the US for pauper's burials. NYC has https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hart_Island https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hart_Island with over 1 million numbered graves.
