- throwaway2037 3y agoNintendo was already pretty huge before the economic bubble burst in 1990. Japan had plenty of inflation in the 1980s. Also, currently, Nintendo is wildly profitable. They could easily pay their star designers millions of USD per year, but they do not. Yet, these designers stay and continue their work.
