Don't get me wrong, JavaScript is horrible. But an argument whose major point is JS' OO is a joke is kind of weak. You would be better off thinking of it as a C-syntaxed functional programming language with mutable data structures. Not that it's a more accurate description, but trying to use it as such will make you more productive and make you write better code.
