I don't wish to argue with you that "[y]our job is to make the best judgement call as you see it" but if you are going to avoid the obviously, superficially, relevant Bible verse, it's as conspicuous as if it was written in letters of flame 50 feet tall. I'm not saying that verse has any particular objective meaning that we must accept. I haven't the least interest in promoting correct theology. It's just that not mentioning it - given its superficial relevance - makes the whole comment seem like a strange joke.
