I get why people hate new things in car as they often don't improve driving experience.
But smart tv? I think they genuinely improved my experience. I can pretty much watch any show anytime using my phone as the controller now, I don't see how it's possible with old TV?
- hiisukun 3y agoFor a lot of people, they replaced a 10 or 20 year old TV with a "smart" one. Then just a few years later, it didn't work properly -- apps not updated, UI slow or broken, logins failed, etc. The TV was essentially fine, but the "smart" component had aged very poorly and made the whole thing less than satisfying. You're talking about the great and convenient parts, but for many generations of smart tv those only last a short while.
