Optimisation is just function minimisation/maximisation. What did you expect and how was it different?
- hcs 3y agoNot speaking for the GP but I'd imagine "optimizing" for performance. I had a professor who would get very irritated when anyone mentioned "optimizing" a program for just this reason, since you weren't finding the best possible runtime.
