I’m a 30-something who lives in the big city so I haven’t had a car since the 2003 Volvo S60 I had in high school. I always said I’d probably get a car when I could get an electric one in middle age, and it looks like that day may be coming up in the next few years, but I’ll be damned if I’m ever going to buy something with a touch screen and mics that are tracking my every move. For anyone more in touch with the current car market than I am, is there even a single option for a full electric, or even a plug-in hybrid, without a touch screen and internet connection? I do not give a single fuck about infotainment systems, I’ll gladly plug my phone into an aux cable and call it a day.
