  Seems completely in line with the principle of least surprise. People don’t tend to think about super-cookies, and I think that it’s right to treat building without libpsl as this far off the ‘happy path’. I can certainly see it upsetting some puritans that want everything related to building and running software to work like it did in 2004.

  Does curl even store cookies by "default"? Yeah, by what default. Daniel Stenberg's default or my distro's packager's default. Of course I could test... Not close to my computer now.

    No. To use cookies you have to pass an argument with a file to store cookies in. There is no default cookie file.
