Seems weird. I don’t know anyone that lived in Portugal that didn’t love it. Maybe the authors were from way up north and consider summers that don’t even frost over once to be stiflingly hot. Personally, I consider the percentage of the year I need protective clothing to safely go outdoors a big factor for happiness.
