Turns out that a highly competitive position is mostly staffed by highly competitive people. Not a big surprise there.
I'm actually surprised the rate is that low, but it is probably skewed by smaller businesses, where the leadership position isn't that fought over ("business leader" makes me think of a Fortune 500 CEO, where the amount of psychopaths is probably a lot higher).

- BillyTheMage 3y agoLack of guilt and empathy do imply psychopathy though. And those are traits that end up being business leaders inherently due to the fact that businesses and shareholders make their money through the theft of profits generated by the people who do the real work.
- Apex2x 3y agoNo, but the attributes of psychopathy overlap with what is needed in a business leader. Putting business decisions ahead of people is one of them.
- hindsightbias 3y agoI suspect a good percentage have learned experiences to test out. After all, psychopaths are mostly better adapted sociopaths.
