I disagree with the author calling open-source AI models as Unsecured AI models.
- anon373839 3y agoYeah, his attempt to rebrand open source and then casually pretend that the new brand is already established... isn’t working.
- miohtama 3y agoLooks like another attempt of regulatory capture by Big Tech
- sharperguy 3y agoYou could replace "AI model" with "computer". With an "unsecured computer" you could write a virus, or design a detonator switch for a bomb, or publish copyrighted material. Clearly we need to limit the sale of unsecured computers and estaplish liabilities for manufacturers whose customers enguage in these actions.
- stavros 3y agoThis article is just propaganda from big tech wanting to build a moat around their models.
