I have met a few people I still stay in touch with through misdials, answering obviously wrongly directed texts and even an email doppelganger (same realname@email.org)! I strongly feel that 'random' unstructured encounters are missing in our day to day social lives.
- AussieWog93 3y agoI'm guessing you're a fair bit older than me, but from my experience when someone unexpected calls/messages it's almost always a scammer or spammer. Of course, these people probably only make up <1% of phone users but >99% of unsolicited calls. I wish we had some better system of just kicking them off of our networks altogether (permabans tied to real name?), so we could get value out of random interactions like the Maasai do.
