Archaeology has an evidence bias. If there’s a perceived euro-centric emphasis at all, then that can just be attributed to there being more stuff found in the ground. The truth is that classical archaeology is often just easier, because we have a lot of writing from that time period telling us where battles happened etc. I’m sure archaeologist would love to open up a whole new front, but it takes time to find stuff that’s hard to find.
