I'm not really a fan of unity, but I cannot live without those 2 features anymore :S
- keithpeter 14y agoSearch for apps: try dmenu (bit fugly looking but very fast). Just use the XFCE keybinding config to set your preferred binding See http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1746773 http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1746773 As for Super + number: you might have to hard wire those as separate keybindings Synapse and similar launchers run under XCFE

You don't need Kupfer, since a application quick launcher is in Xubuntu. Kupfer does launch locations as well as applications, though. You can edit the shortcuts in Xubuntu. Their default "appfinder" shortcut is Win+R; I bound it to Win+Space.
