Warsaw is a counterpoint to that, for example.
It has a developed IT job market, and as a senior software developer you'd likely be spending ~20% of your salary on rent.
Europe is more than just the few most expensive cities.
- caskstrength 3y agoOh, I'm from eastern Europe myself and of course you can have quite comfortable life there for 80k gross. The counterpoint to that is that 80k is not nearly close to average salary of a person "developing web sites from their sofa" in that region.
- yakshaving_jgt 3y agoThat's my understanding of the market (from experience), and it appears to be supported here: https://www.levels.fyi/t/software-engineer/levels/senior/locations/warsaw-metropolitan-area https://www.levels.fyi/t/software-engineer/levels/senior/loc...
