Bitcoin saved my cousin from starvation. Can the same be said for anti-capitalism, eg. Communism? Nope, because Holodomor.
- paulryanrogers 3y agoBitcoin is more like communism than autocratic regimes that starve people through malice or incompetence. The answer to states that cannot manage their own money supply isn't outsourcing to ecologically disastrous shit coins limping along at 7 TPS. All that said, hope your cousin is safe and well fed.
- marenkay 3y agoBecause it puts the power into the hands of a ruling class which takes everything? Yeah, it’s like real communism not like the theories…
- marenkay 3y agoAt the price of putting someone else into starvation which you ignored…
- MacsHeadroom 3y agoMarkets are not zero sum. Value is "created* in a growing market.
- milutinovici 3y agoExcept Bitcoin market is zero sum. No value is being created.
- a_gnostic 3y agoThe value is transacting independence from monopolies, with interdependence to a distributed network. The value is immutability –not something censor-horny commies value, I'll give you that.
- marenkay 3y agoThe whole thing is basically parasitic in nature, and would de without and banking system behind it. The value is hiding money, the motivation is mostly committing crime, fraud, etc. The majority is owned by conservative people willing to send us back into feudalism. Censorship seems to be a property of any system, see the US. To this day, they are so stupid they censor nipples.
