Not just that you're ripped off, but they heavily lobby to keep taxes as frustrating as possible so their existence isn't irrelevant. I hate hearing about late stage capitalism, but this is essentially that.
- bombcar 3y agoThe increase of the standard deduction has eliminated the real "need" for TurboTax for so many people that may not even realize it. Many, many people no longer need to claim the mortgage deduction and so no longer need to itemize.
