Ask HN: DigitalOcean Down?
Their cloud dashboard is not working, nor can I connect to my Droplet or any of the websites it is hosting.
Their status page doesn't report any issues.
- budu 3y agoDown for me.
- jayknight 3y agoStatus page now says >Global Networking >Our Engineering team is currently investigating multiple reports of issues, including increased error rates with our Cloud Control Panel/API, Droplet networking, App Platform app deployments/apps loading, and possible other impacts. >We are working to clarify impact and root cause and will post an update as soon as possible. >Jan 10, 2024 - 20:59 UTC And the incident page is at https://status.digitalocean.com/incidents/33vqf05m8396 https://status.digitalocean.com/incidents/33vqf05m8396
- JLCarveth 3y agoThank you for posting! Always worrying when I can't access it, I always assume I broke something.
- mnehring 3y agoI have droplets in a few regions in the US. They are all up except my Droplet in SFO2. Anyhow, it appears it's DigitalOcean, not you. My droplet has been popping up and falling back down. Hopefully they'll get it all fixed soon!
- theluketowers 3y agoDown for me, intermittent connection issues to the droplets and the dashboard. First time it's ever impacted any of my sites in the 7+ years of hosting with DO.
- AlbinoDrought 3y agoSporadic since 20:18 UTC for me. At least one of my pure droplets is still up, but anything relying on API or DNS (including private-db-* resolution) is down.
- industrial6 3y ago60%+ packet loss and 140ms latency to anything on TOR1 Resolved about 15minutes ago, but many droplets are unable to rebooted
- jdlyga 3y agoMy droplet is still up. It's just a VPS, but I've been paying about $5 per month for a website and a few small scale personal projects since 2016 and I've had very little issues.

- olgeni 3y agoThe moment they dropped FreeBSD support - and had to find out by asking why images were not being updated - I understood that Clues were Leaving the Company and promptly moved the critical stuff elsewhere.
