Ask HN: Is HN blocking traffic from Cuba?
I woke up, and as I usually do, I opened HN while I drink my coffee. But this time I got this message: "Sorry, you have been blocked. You are unable to access ycombinator.com"

- endergame 3y agoThese are regulations that many sites adopt in accordance with the sanctions imposed by the United States government against some countries, including Cuba.
- cpach 3y agoYes. But AFAIK, HN has never had such a policy. AFAICT this blocking was introduced very recently when HN started to use CloudFlare in order to mitigate a DDoS attack. Therefore I thought it might be a good idea to bring it to the admins’ attention.
