We Can't Have Nice Things
- JohnFen 3y agoAlthough my tastes don't approach baroque, I agree with the author that the modern world has largely become devoid of beauty and style, and the world is far worse because of it. Increasingly, it seems that being devoid of beauty is understating it. A lot of things seem to be intentionally ugly. That's a style I simply don't understand at all. If you are going to put time and effort into style (and I think people should), why not aim for beauty?
