- thomasmallen 18y agoI understand your first reason. The second is a puzzler. The third is really off the wall.
- bk 18y agoReason one alone should be enough. Two is arguably a toss-up, from hn guidelines: On-Topic: Anything that good hackers would find interesting. That includes more than hacking and startups. If you had to reduce it to a sentence, the answer might be: anything that gratifies one's intellectual curiosity. Off-Topic: Most stories about politics, or crime, or sports, unless they're evidence of some interesting new phenomenon. Videos of pratfalls or disasters, or cute animal pictures. If they'd cover it on TV news, it's probably off-topic. Three is a way of saying: There are other sources of "social news" that target politics, human interest stories, etc., you can get them from there and keep HN focused. Anyway. No more meta noise from me. :)
