Show HN: Agenthost – Host and monetize your custom GPT on your website
Hey folks,
I wanted to share Agenthost.ai -- a platform I built that makes it easy to create and host custom agents on your website with payment processing through Stripe built right in.
I know everyone is excited about the OpenAI's Appstore like GPTStore coming this week but I'm more excited about a more web-like model.
A world where you can create your agent, put it on your website, decide how much you want to charge for certain features, and then let others come and discover it. No need to worry about the platform deciding to compete with you and using your data to train its models.
So yeah that's agenthost, would love any thoughts or feedback! Right now our agents use OpenAI, but we have plans to support other LLMs so you can switch at will.
Thanks
- mannny 3y agoThis is a game changer. Looking forward to you expending to other LLMs.
- jdwyah 3y agoI wish i could be more bullish on GPTstore and what you've got here. It's hard for me to foresee these not getting rolled up into the "one all-knowing interface". Unless a GPT brings data that's truly unobtainable elsewhere and I still don't grok having multiple sources for things. I'm sometimes very wrong about things like this. Very curious if that's the case this time.
- coldsoldier 3y agoI agree! We're targeting the people who feel like they have unique insights/gems of information. If you have these unique gems of information, making it available to these huge AI platforms means they will eventually just ingest and train it on their models to make your data obsolete. So I think there needs to be something that doesn't have an LLM to train and just focuses on hosting your agent and letting you control that data and keep it private.
- jdwyah 3y agommm, that makes some sense. Aligning the value chain better has got to happen. I like your insight that maybe that's just impossible if the seller has an LLM to train. Related: https://twitter.com/far33d/status/1744460980585914580 https://twitter.com/far33d/status/1744460980585914580
- etewiah 3y agoThis is a great concept. I really hope it works. - When I asked a simple question of the bot on the landing page though this is what I got back: ME You what does this do? An Ifffy V2Agent Based on the information from the query engine, it seems that the context is a log file containing error messages related to storing custom field values. The errors indicate that the custom field values for the "createdat" field are not in the expected date formats of RFC3339, MM/DD/YYYY, or M/D/YYYY. It appears to be documenting the errors encountered while trying to store these custom field values.
