PrivateDrop: Breaking and Fixing Apple AirDrop (2021)
- kotaKat 3y agoSeeing that there's recent reports about the Chinese government "cracking" AirDrop[1], I figured it's worth bringing to light that their efforts are not new work, but merely the piggybacking upon prior research into a large AirDrop privacy hole[2]. Even Apple states that AirDrop uses phone and email hashes in their own docs.
