- a_vanderbilt 3y agoIf I had to guess, the hardware registers are leftover debugging facilities from manufacturing. I don't buy the claim that Apple was secretly complicit with an alphabet agency to make this happen; however the complexity, scoped targeting, and over-engineering reeks of a state-level actor.
