OpenAI's controlling entity is a non profit, so not a startup. It does not have investors. Investors to OpenAI's for profit subsidiary entity did not move to undermine Sam Altman anyway. Moral of the story is, if you want more control over your company, don't try to trick people into thinking your startup is actually a nonprofit.
