There were extremely cheap homes available just outside of Austin just a few years ago, it didn’t really help with the homeless problem. I’m not homeless, but it seems to me that homeless people WANT to be in the heart of the city. If you offer them housing way outside the city center will they really want to spend time there? Or will they just go back downtown to be where the action is?
