I had to throw away my COMPLETELY DRY cord and get a new one because Apple reported the presence of water. New coord -- no problems.
- ratg13 3y agoI hate to be the one to inform you that manufacturing issues exist and cables can be damaged through regular use. Water bridging a connection and the connector being broken are indistinguishable to the device.

- scosman 3y agoProbably dry, but had short. Definitely good to detect and throw out. Message could definitely be improved.
