Love this, I learned this from my boss when we got rid of 029 keypunches. It was the last one, we were all on glass terminals. He took a key part out of the keypunch, stuck it in an big envelope and mailed it to himself. He had the post office stamp the date all over the flap. Three weeks later he held a meeting about getting rid of the keypunch. People said no, we use it daily, weekly, etc. "In fact I used it three days ago". He let everyone talk. Then he slid the envelope to the three day guy, had him note the dates, and then made him open the envelope. Keypunch was gone the next day.
