> Duolingo should be on borrowed time, as a method to learn a language it’s inefficient to the point of being ineffective A lot of Duolingo's questions ask a user to pick and choose words to complete a sentence. That gives a false sense of achievement when in reality it simply does not challenge one's mind enough to learn a language effectively. Besides, a simple sentence does not give me enough context to build my intuition. I personally find the idea of Comprehensible Input works much better: reading extensively, watching videos extensively, using a language increasingly frequently, and etc.
